The Anatomy of Domestic Animals makes learning anatomy more pleasant and longer lasting for veterinary students. This system-oriented book is a heavily illustrated summary of essential anatomical facts in a comparative format, making information readily accessible. Over 700 clear, concise drawings lend excellent visual representation to the text. Most illustrations are conveniently grouped with the supporting text, which gives essentials of each structure in outline form. Differences between species follow, with clinical applications relating to each group of structures are also presented to stimulate interest. Price: $89.95 Great book!
Too bad it is only black and white. This is probably one of the best animal anatomy books available. Not only does it have the drawings of anatomical structures, but it also includes clinical boxes related to the structures on the page that are relevent to common diseases vets will probably see. Unfortunately, the anatomical structures are ALL drawn and its in black and white. Thus it is basically necessary to have accompanying books or other sources to actually learn what different anatomical structures really look like. Overall I believe many will find this book very useful. The book quality of this particular source is very good considering the length of this book and it is all original.
