Klyuch Dlya Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2013
Dear All, I have Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 installed on my current laptop and I'm happy with it. I do not wish to upgrade to a new version and I have the product key for this software. I had visio on my previous laptop and have now transferred all these visio files to my present machine.
I want to carry on using visio on this new machine and when I try to open a visio file, I get a message saying 'this is an unlicensed product' and I am uanble to do anything to that file. When I do in fact put in my office product key, I get a message saying this applies to Microsoft office and not visio. I do not know the easiest way to get visio (and cheapest) on my current laptop to carry on using this software. Can anyone please advise? Thanks Yuki for your response. It appears Office 2013 is not compatible with Visio 2016. I have been led to believe that I have to upgrade office to 206 (and pay for its) and further pay for getting Visio to the tune of £280.
I feel this is a rip-off and cannot justify the expense. Moreover, from a point of principle, I'm not sure anyone should be forced into a corner to 'upgrade' their system.

KB 2739501 Uninstall Office 2013 / 365 - Method 1 Fix It Office 2013, Office 365 and Office 2013 Preview uninstalls Method 1: Uninstall using Fix it Note: If you are using a 64-bit operating system, save the fixit tool on the system and then run it from the saved location. Method 2: Uninstall from Control Panel Method 3: Remove manually Method 1 in this tip does a more thorough job that the 'normal' uninstall via Programs and Features (aka Method 2 in the tip).
The Normal uninstall is designed with the assumption that you will be re-installing Office. It does NOT delete everything. It leaves configuration files like NORMAL.DOTM and other templates etc. And it also leaves configuration Registry entries. These “carry-overs” may contain corruption that is causing your problem. After you do the uninstall, boot the computer and check to see if you still have any copies of Office Pro Plus (I suspect you will). If you do, uninstall it also and boot again.
Many people have had problems installing Viso along with Office, but normally they have the Office 365 versions. Sorry, I have no ideas to fix your Visio problem The only other thing I can suggest is to do a phone activation. When you phone in, don't reply to the initial prompts.
Wait until you are given the option of talking to a live 'service' rep. I can almost guarantee the first person you talk to won't be able to help. Keep asking to be transferred to a supervisor.
At the start of the conversation make note of their name and ask for a problem ticket number so that when they 'accidentally' hang up on you you can (in theory) restart the conversation where it left off. You could also ask if they provide online chat support (because you use a 'pay as you go phone'.
(PS: please let me know what they say about that question, either way) I don't know if the activation contacts do, but when I have used online chat for other question I have found it MUCH less frustrating than phone chat. The extra degree of separation is helpful (you don't have an accent in text chat!) AND it provides you with a time stamped transcript you can copy to save, and refer back to later when someone asks you to redo something. * ¯ _(ツ)_/¯ In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice.
In practice, there is. Tools to Extract Product Key You can use any of the following tools to extract the Product Key from you computer. These tools report on many installed programs on your computer, not just Office. PS: you should keep a copy (printed and/or file copies on external storage devices) of the report(s) generated by these tools so you have all of your product keys / registration numbers available for future re-installs FYI: I (Rohn) have not tested these tools in Windows 8 (just haven’t had an excuse to make/waste the time), but I don’t expect any problem.
